Description
A newer variety gaining a lot of attention, ‘Prelude’ is the earliest of the red raspberries to ripen. It has it’s biggest crop in the early part of June (late June up North) and will have a smaller fall crop also (unless mowed down in fall/winter). Very winter hardy canes, with excellent flavor and quality rating is very good. Recently released by the Geneva, NY State Experiment Station. Very winter hardy and vigorous with cohesive drupelets (important for market growers). An excellent choice when early fruit and high quality are required. Marketable berries. Cannot ship to CA, OR, WA.

Resistant to: Insects, floricane (early) crop dodges the SWD fruit flies.
Site Requirements: Full sun for best yields. Well-drained, rich soil is a must. Raised beds work well.
