Description

Check back June 2021 for updated stock.  Should be available at that time.

A productive, sweet fig similar to “Celeste.”  Very productive of small-medium light purple figs with nice sweet flavor.  Disease-resistant and good for the humid South.  In zone 6 this fig will be marginal due to cold winters.  Needs protection.  Would thrive in warmer zones like 8-9.  Winter protection and a warm, sunny site are always advised in zones 6-7 for figs.  The LSU figs come out of the Louisiana Fig Breeding program started in the 1950s that successfully produced superior figs for the Deep South.
