Description
A popular native tree that produces a very large, brain-looking inedible fruit on female plants. They are thorny, with extremely hard durable wood. Used as living fences for centuries. Related to mulberries. They are used also as a rootstock for che fruit. Ours will be big enough to graft after about one more season of growth. Maclura pomifera
