Description

Known as ‘Pai Li’ or ‘Bai Li’ 白梨 this ancient variety of Chinese pear has been grown in the Beijing area for centuries. The fruits are large, spherical, and greenish yellow. Sweet and juicy!  The fruits keep well in cold storage into the winter.  Vigorous, disease resistant, all around an excellent pear variety.  Strong resistant to fire blight. CANNOT SHIP TO CA.

Uses: Excellent fresh eating pear. Excellent for dehydrating. Would be excellent for juicing. Perhaps the best storage Asian pear. Keeps all winter in cold storage.

Resistant to: Highly resistant to fireblight.

Pollination: Most other Asian pears.
