Description
Heirloom-quality, highly productive, early season black raspberry! High-producing early variety with upright canes make its berries very easy to pick. It has medium, firm, glossy fruit with excellent black raspberry flavor. Moderately cold hardy but very vigorous growth. ‘Bristol’ shows resistance to powdery mildew. Released from the Cornell Small Fruit Breeding Program in Geneva, New York.
Black raspberries are one of the earliest fruits of the season, ripening in early-mid June (in KY), coinciding with mulberries and early blackberries. Cannot ship to CA, OR, WA.
Recommended for ORGANIC GROWING.
Uses: Delicious fresh eating, excellent, jams, processed goods.
Pollination: Self-pollinating, may bear larger crops with Hidden Gem or other black raspberries present.
Resistant to: Powdery mildew, fungus and rots.
