An heirloom June apple found throughout KY and surrounding areas still to this day. Was more common in the past as a favorite backyard apple tree. The large yellow-green fruit ripens extremely early in June-July. It is quite sweet-tart and the flesh gets softer as it ripens. A favorite for early apples, cooking, and applesauce.
All of our apple trees are FIELD-GROWN for high-quality and have excellent, robust, natural root systems. These are premium quality bare-root trees.
Uses: Fresh eating, apple sauce, cooking
Resistant to: Some resistance to Cedar Apple Rust, scab. Disease resistance is moderate.
Ripening: Very early (mid-June or so).
Bloom: Early
Pollination: (Flowering Group 2, partially self fertile). Pollinated by: Crimsoncrisp, Pink Lady, Freedom, Fuji, Granny Smith, Grimes Golden, Jonathan, McIntosh, Melrose, Redfree, Suncrisp, Wolf River
