From our mulberry trials comes an amazing new cultivar, 'Vajra'.  These pearly white jewels adorn an especially lovely looking mulberry tree with beautiful, unusual foliage.  We sourced this one, originally from a small village in Turkey. Produces especially large and plump, white fruit.  When fully tree ripened they are sugary sweet with no tang or tartness, just SWEET.  Can develop some lavender coloration on the berries.  Would be an excellent mulberry for drying.  Non-staining.  This cultivar survived our -5 F winter temps in 2022 without issue. 

Likely Morus alba. Shows resilience and lots of potential with the large, very sweet fruit.  An excellent new addition and must-have if you like white mulberries.  We are still trialing it here and think it is likely best suited to drier, warmer environments.  Peaceful Heritage Nursery introduction. Uses: Fresh eating, dehydrating.

Ripens:  Mid June in KY.

Resistant to: Mulberries are remarkably free of disease and insects.
