A true masterpiece of plant breeding! This TRUE dwarf mulberry, is an extremely compact variety, only reaching a height of 5-7′! Easy to harvest and maintain. It's compact size makes it suitable for any garden or orchard, as well as containers. Mojo Berry® produces sweet, tangy, black mulberries over a very long period, from May until August-September. Mojo Berry® mulberry requires no chilling hours to set fruit, so it is a great choice for edible gardens in USDA zones 7-10. Very early fruiting. Will even set fruit in the nursery pot, with flavor improving with maturity.
Mojo Berry® received a Retailers Choice Award at the 2024 Farwest Trade Show. Named the Chelsea Plant of the Year award for 2017 by the Royal Horticultural Society under the name ‘Charlotte Russe.’ The Mojo Berry Dwarf Mulberry is the result of over 30 years of breeding efforts by Japanese master plant breeder Hajime Matsunga.
