Kosui pear is one of the best tasting of all Asian pears available. Crisp, crunchy, juicy and very sweet. It is a reliable bearer of medium-to-large, delicious russetted, orange fruit. The russeting of the skin lends a pleasant nutty flavor.
Can be susceptible to pseudomonas in very cool, wet spring regions, but shows some fireblight resistance. It's a solid choice for much of the nation.

Uses: Excellent fresh eating pear. Excellent for dehydrating. Would be excellent for juicing.
