Rich, decadent flavor on this superb fig! Said to be one of the tastiest figs available and is legendary amongst fig hobby growers. Perfect blend of tangy and sweet berry flavored richness. Black skin and rich reddish pulp. Apparently well suited to the Deep South, as it came out of Florida. Appears to have a tight eye (ostiole). We're not sure how well it does in colder areas. Can be challenging to grow, so not for beginners. Named by the grower Colonel Littman in Gainseville, Fl. Ripens mid season, August in the Deep South.
