Chito produces large, oval berries, with delicious milder flavor than other varieties. Grows very vigorous bushes that are somewhat more open than other cultivars (see photo). Mid-season bloomer, can pair with early or late varieties. It's a resilient Japanese honeyberry that thrives in warmer areas as well as cold.  Heavy production, plump oval berries, and nice, less intense, sweeter flavor.  These are currently extra large, 3-4' tall, 2-year old field-grown plants, ready to bear fruit!

  • Superior variety developed by Dr. Maxine Thompson in Oregon, patented.
  • Grows open, tall, moderately vigorous.
  • Tasty, milder flavor with firm berries.
