Delicious, tangy, black currant flavor! Superior cultivar from the Savanna Institute in WI. Easy to grow small bush produces clusters of medium-sized, flavorful currants on this compact, upright bush. Aromatic and flavorful, with grape like notes and slight tang. Field grown, large healthy root systems. Cultivar: 'McGinnis 'Stikine'
Has been observed producing 3-8 lbs per bush. Cold-hardy. Ripens in July or August. Self-pollinating.

Uses: Fresh eating, juice, excellent jams, wine.
Disease Resistance: White Pine Blister Rust, Powdery Mildew. May be susceptible to cane dieback in some areas.
Pollination: Self-pollinating
Site Requirements: Well-drained, rich soil. Full sun in northern locations, partial shade or 1/2 day full sun in southern locations. Not for intensely hot summer areas or Deep South growing. Does well in Midwest, PNW, and Northern areas.
