AU Rosa receives top ratings for flavor, production and disease resistance in Auburn University (Alabama) trials. Excellent flavor and texture ratings, and highly disease resistant to all common plum diseases. It is similar to, but much better performing in the Southeast than, Santa Rosa. Self-pollinating means you only need one tree in order to get fruit. An excellent choice for home and market growing. CANNOT SHIP TO CA, WA, OR.
All of our plum trees are FIELD-GROWN for high-quality and have excellent, robust, natural root systems.
Recommended for ORGANIC GROWING
Uses: Fresh eating, canning, marketing.
Resistant to: Highly resistant to: bacterial canker, bacterial fruit and leaf spot, and plum leaf scald. Somewhat resistant to brown rot.
Pollination: Self-pollinating, but any AU-Series or Methley plum will pollinate it.
Rootstock: Halford
Plant Size: 1 YR, 3-4' Tall Bare-Root Tree
Zones 5-8 (estimate)
