Heavy production of large, sweet-tart, circular shaped gooseberries on a large upright bush! Fruit ripens to pink-purple when ripe in June-July. 'Invicta' gooseberry has good flavor and solid, heavy production of berries. Extremely cold hardy to zone 3. This newer release has performed extremely well on our farm in KY, annually producing copious yields despite late freezes and frosts even during bloom. Great for making jams. Low production of thorns on this gooseberry.
Gooseberries do best in areas that do not experience extremely hot summers. If planting in a very hot summer climate, plant where it receives partial shade, such as a western or eastern side of the house or near a small tree that provides shade. CANNOT SHIP TO MA, ME.
Sorry, we cannot ship POTTED Gooseberries (May-September) to: CA, TX, AZ, NM, NV. We can ship DORMANT gooseberries to these states bare-root when ordered in October-April (as available).
Uses: Fresh eating, jams, jellies, desserts.

Pests: Japanese beetles. May lose it's leaves in late summer but this does not seem to affect the plant or production.
