Description

Excellent flavor, strong production and disease resistance. I remember having my first Pineapple pears at a market in southern Mississippi years ago, and WOW, they tasted like pear crossed with straight-up pineapple! Just amazing flavor. Precocious and bears fruit when young. Best used as a cooking and canning pear. Excellent choice for the Deep South, due to disease resistance and excellent quality. Take note: Pineapple pears are not as cold hardy as some others, and are rated for zones 6-9. They will do better in warmer, milder winter areas and may not survive in zone 5 or below. People in the South favor this pear for deer plantings and it serves that purpose well.

All our pear trees are FIELD-GROWN for high-quality and have excellent, robust, natural root systems.
