Want to start a champion grove? For the resourceful fruit explorer, our BEST EVER seeds from the very best pawpaw genetics. Sourced from carefully selected superior fruits often weighing in at least 1/2 – 1 lb with excellent taste and texture. The genetics of our seeds are mostly sourced directly from Peterson and KSU advanced selections as well as KSU cultivars, and Lehman stock. These seeds are cleaned, disinfected and stratified (90+ days in the refrigerator; always moist, cold but never frozen.) Shipped moist, stratified, viable and ready-to-plant starting in March 2023-April 2023. We notify you when it ships.
We now offer ‘COMMON GRADE’ pawpaw seeds. This grade is best suited towards rootstock for grafting, reforestation, wildlife, or simply if you want pawpaw trees and are not concerned with fruit quality. The fruit quality will likely be mediocre compared to our Ultra Select and grafted pawpaw lines.
We recommend planting in seedling containers in rich potting soil first and then planting these in the field or yard. Seedling trees must be grown in shade until 30 inches tall (year 2 or 3) and not in full sun and must never dry out. If grown in pots, the pots must never freeze solid.
