Our friend Richard Olson in Berea, KY shared with us this local neighborhood favorite red mulberry, found growing on his organic Berea Urban Farm.  As he told us, everyone who tries it agrees it has “the best flavor!”  Also said to be “awesome”.  We tried it and found it definitely superior in both flavor and size, and so we introduced it!  Perfect blend of sweet and sour that makes excellent mulberries so delicious.  Very productive.  Lovely large green leaves.  Ripens in June with most other mulberries.  This is a native selection of Morus rubra.  A great choice for those looking for a very tasty and high quality native red mulberry.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC PLANT

Uses:  Excellent berries, wildlife, reforestation.  Excellent fresh eating, also useful for cooking, jams, wines.

Resistant to:  Mulberries are generally free from disease and most insects.

Pollination:  Mulberries need no pollination to set fruit.

Rootstock: Grafted onto native Red Mulberry (Morus rubra).

Plant Size:  CHOOSE SIZE. Bare-Root February-May.  June shipped potted in special tree pots.
