Description
A must-have American persimmon! Generally considered one of the best quality American persimmon. Luscious, large, silky, creamy, stringless and no astringency! Just amazing. Exceptionally large, sweet, high quality fruit reaches golf ball size. Smooth and sweet, perfect fresh eating. Produces very large fruit, ripens in late August-October here in Kentucky, has few seeds. Excellent eating quality, also good for processing. Ripens long before frost and loses astringency well. Hard to beat this one if you like American persimmons. It is a seedling from the Cornell University breeding program grown out by John Gordon of Amherst NY. Would make an excellent marketing persimmon. Egg cartons work well to move these fruits around and to market them- see photos. CANNOT SHIP TO AZ, CA.
