American Heritage Hazelnut (Corylus americana) – CERTIFIED ORGANIC

Out of stock

Not Available in 2021.  See Native Hazelnut listing.

A blight-resistant, self-pollinating American hazelnut! Vigorous, fast growing and hardy. Shows excellent disease resistance. The nuts are smaller than grocery store nuts but larger than most generic wild strains. The nuts are just as tasty as the others and the bushes are very productive and healthy.  We’ve been growing this hazelnut for about 6-7 years and have been impressed with it’s survivability, hardiness of blooms, quick growth and establishment and good nuts. Shows better performance and better nuts than most wild hazelnuts. Bushes stay small and compact. We’ve had zero issues with blight or disease of any kind. An excellent early season POLLEN SOURCE for bees!  CANNOT SHIP TO CA, WA, OR.
