This superior mulberry produces bigger, tastier black mulberries for a longer season. Plump, juicy, tangy-sweet berries are blackberry size (about 1-1.5 inches long) and have a really delicious, tangy-sweet exceptional flavor and firmer texture. It produces berries for several weeks longer than most other common mulberries. Robust, vigorous and strong growing with large leaves, it grows large. We joyfully discovered this very old, gnarly wild mulberry growing robustly in a suburb in Shively, Kentucky, near Dixie Highway, and propagated it. Out of the many hundreds of wild mulberries we have found and sampled over 15+ years throughout Louisville, KY, this one is the very best overall. We found it’s excellent qualities worthy to add to our collection of superior fruit trees we offer in our nursery and think you’ll like it, too.
