One of the best Asian pears for this region. Mild, sweet, crisp juicy flesh, very high quality. Tree is very productive; the pears ripen on the tree. One of the best keepers. Disease resistant. Requires thinning to attain maximum fruit size. Pronounced “Knee-Tahk-Uh”. CANNOT SHIP TO CA.

Ripens: Mid-September to Mid-October. Ripens on the tree.

Uses: Fresh dessert eating, juice, drying, storage. Good storage pear.

Resistant to: Fireblight and many other pear diseases.

Pollination: Partly Self-pollinating, but better with Kieffer, Moonglow, Bosc, Asian Pears or Bradford ornamental pear.
